Are you a new parent who is looking to meet others with children the same age , build your parenting resource toolkit , and ask questions of a parenting expert ? Come join other caregivers to learn about the ages and stages of development during infancy , participate in activities , learn to sign songs , and say rhymes . A licensed Parent Educator will facilitate discussion topics about your role as a parent of an infant . Bring your questions ! Toddler Playdates
Families are invited to drop in for open gym , games , and time to connect with friends and other families . A licensed parent educator will lead a small group time and is available to talk with parents and caregivers . Open Gym - age 5 and under
Kids ( age 5 and under ) bring your family to the Early Childhood Open Gym at the District Education Center . Get your wiggles out playing in the gym on a Friday night . While the open gym is free to attend , you may want to come early to enjoy pizza for $ 2.00 per slice . Vehicle Fair
Join Early Childhood Family Education ( ECFE ) for its annual Vehicle Fair . At this FREE and fun family event , children will enjoy exploring the fire truck , bus , tractor , Zamboni and other fun vehicles . The event is held in the front parking lot of the District Education Center , 1520 Mahtomedi Avenue , Mahtomedi ( park in the back , or along Warner Ave . and walk through the ball field ). Community Baby Shower ( families with
children 12 months and under )
Bundle up your little ones ( 0-12 months ) and head over to the District Education Center for our FREE Community Baby Shower . Spend time meeting other new parents , investigating baby activities , singing during a circle time led by a Parent Educator , and learning about Early Childhood Family Education classes . Author Stephanie Johnson of Baby Bare will be attending the Community Baby Shower . Bring your little ones over to the District Education Center for some baby activities , refreshments , free gifts ( for those registered ) and to hear Stephanie Johnson share about her bottom up approach to growing strong brains and bodies . Refreshments will be served and door prize . Everyone registered will get a free gift from the district . Early Childhood STEM Family Night
Enjoy awesome experiments in Science , Technology , Engineering , and Math ( STEM ) with your family and join our STEM family night . A STEM Family Night is an evening of hands-on science , math , and engineering activities for students and families to complete together .
