IL STATE RULE 260.95 Junior classes are open to boys and girls who are eight ( 8 ) years of age and not yet 21 years of age on or before September 1 of the year previous to the Fair . All animals shown in junior classes must be the property of the boys and girls showing them . If the same animals are shown in both the open classes and junior classes , they shall be shown under the same exhibitor ’ s name .
1 . Entries close July 14 . 2 . Give number of animals and number of pens needed . Note any special request on entry form and Superintendent will try to comply . 3 . All animals must be registered in the name of the exhibitor and registered with the American Dairy Goat Association . 4 . All entry reports must be available the day of the show . Entry reports will be mailed or can be picked up before the fair starts . 5 . Read the rules governing Livestock Exhibitors at Illinois Fairs in this book . 6 . Check in time is 3-6pm Tuesday . FIRM . If there is a legitimate emergency an you will be late , you MUST notify the
Fair office and they will let the Superintendent know . Unexcused late arrivals will NOT be admitted . 7 . Animals must be in pens by 10 pm on Tuesday and will be released on Thursday after the show . 8 . Judging Order : Wethers , followed by breed classes as listed . Breeds will be shown in the following order - Alpines ,
Lamancha , Nigerian Dwarf , Nubian , Oberhasli , Saanen and all other pure breeds and recorded grades . 9 . Any animals with ringworm or abscesses means the entire herd will be sent home . No refund of entry fees . 10 . Exhibitors will be assigned pens . Premium money may be withheld if changes are made without approval of the
Superintendents . 11 . Health papers will be collected by superintendent upon goat ’ s arrival . They will be returned after examined by VET and CVI is stamped . NO EXCEPTIONS . 12 . Livestock trailers must be parked in designated area . NO EXCEPTIONS . 13 . NO wash racks may be used in the building without the superintendents approval . 14 . Wethers are not part of Sanctioned Show . 15 . NO DOGS ALLOWED ! 16 . All families who exhibit goats are asked to clean out the barn when Dairy goats are released so the Meat goats can move in the next morning , and to set their pens back up if they take them down . 17 . If you are selling in the Jr . Livestock Auction Sale , animals must stay on grounds till the 6:30 pm release time on
Saturday night . 18 . Jr . Auction Livestock Sale Form must be turned in to one of the Goat Superintendents by Wednesday .

Class Definitions
* Group Classes : Animals must be owned by the same exhibitor unless otherwise stated . All animals must be shown in individual classes . * Produce of Dam : To consist of two does which are the offspring of one Dam . * Best Udder : Best udder in each individual breed . * Dam & Daughter : Any age , owned by one exhibitor , dam must be named and in milk . * Get of Sire : Consists of three does of any age , the offspring of one Sire . Animals need not be owned by the
Dairy Goats must be wethered !
· All animals will be judged on their meat qualities characteristics .
· All animals must be dehorned .
· Wethers are not part of the ADGA Sanctioned Show .
