IL STATE RULE 260.95 Junior classes are open to boys and girls who are eight ( 8 ) years of age and not yet 21 years of age on or before September 1 of the year previous to the Fair . All animals shown in junior classes must be the property of the boys and girls showing them . If the same animals are shown in both the open classes and junior classes , they shall be shown under the same exhibitor ’ s name .

Junior Open Poultry is open to exhibitors in Stephenson ,
JoDaviess , Carroll , Ogle , and Winnebago Counties .
4 .
General rules of the Stephenson County Fair apply to
Junior Open classes . The Fair will furnish all feed and
bedding . The Superintendents will feed and water all
exhibits .
5 .
A pen fee will be required for all exhibitors unless exhibitor
is showing in the Open Show also . In lighter birds , two ( 2 )
birds may have to be put in a single coop . All exhibitors are
expected to keep their pens clean .
6 .
NO tubs or large pans are allowed in water fowl pens .
7 .
Not more than two ( 2 ) premiums will be awarded to one ( 1 )
exhibitor under one ( 1 ) class number .
8 .
Junior Open Show entries should be made on a separate
sheet from Open Show entries . Also , double check class
numbers on your entries for mistakes before mailing
because we cannot make changes after entries are turned
into the Fair Office .
9 .
Exhibits may check in on Tuesday from 5 to 10 pm . All
exhibitors must be in place by 10 pm on Tuesday
10 . Exhibitors need not be present at judging . 11 . All birds exhibited shall be hatched after January 1 of the current year .
12 . Each exhibitor will be required to fill out a State Health Certificate before cooping birds . Copy of Pullorum Typhoid Test or Number from approved flock is a must . 13 . Judge ’ s decisions are final . 14 . Two ( 2 ) birds per exhibitor can be sold at the Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday . If you desire to sell your birds , contact the Superintendent immediately after judging . Traveling boxes must be provided by the seller to go with the birds after sold .
15 . All poultry is presumed grade ( pedigree papers may accompany animal ) but the bird must exhibit three ( 3 ) breed characteristics of the class to be judged in .
