1 . Release time is Saturday , after 6:30 pm . NO EXCEPTIONS ! 2 . SCFA will provide the bedding . The Fair Association reserves the right to assign stalls and to close entries in any department when housing facilities are exhausted , earliest dated entries will be accepted . 3 . Entries close July 16 . 4 . NO TELEPHONE ENTRIES . No changes in entries after closing date . 5 . NO SWITCHING OF STALL ASSIGNMENTS WITHOUT A SUPERINTENDENT ’ S PERMISSION . WE RESERVE THE RIGHT
TO LIMIT EXTRA STALLS AND GROOMING CHUTES .
6 . Grooming chutes being used must be used & stored in the designed areas . PLEASE groom cattle in grooming area only . Washing is to be done at the wash racks only . Premiums will be forfeited or withheld if the exhibitors do not abide by the rules or Superintendents instructions .
7 . All cattle ( except Illinois steers ) exhibited at the Stephenson County Fair must be accompanied by a Certificate of Health issued and endorsed by a qualified veterinarian . Read State of Illinois Health Regulations .
8 . Animals cannot be entered as Purebred unless they have been recorded on the recognized books or records for their respective breeds and exhibitors MUST PRODUCE a Certificate of Registry at the request of the Superintendent of the Department any time Fair Week .
9 . The Other Purebred class is for registered animals that are at least ½ purebred with an accompanied registration paper . The crossbred classes are designed for unregistered beef females .
10 . Registration papers and tattoos will be checked by the Superintendent at weigh-in . Health papers on out-of-state steers will be checked at weigh-in time . PAPERS MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL FAIR WEEK . 11 . Exhibitors are limited to two ( 2 ) premiums per class . 12 . The Superintendent reserves the right to disqualify any exhibitor from competition , whose animals are shown to be in the wrong age , class or who have pumped air or liquids into the animal . 13 . No cattle will be permitted west of the Beef Barn for any reason . NO WATERING OF CATTLE WEST OF THE BARN . NO
TIE-OUTS UNTIL 7 PM AND NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN LIVESTOCK BARNS . 14 . Livestock trailers should be parked in the designated area . 15 . Fans will be limited to one fan per every two animals due to electrical constraints . 16 . There will be no tack or feed along the east alley due to safety and traffic flow reasons . 17 . All Animals must be in place by Tuesday at 5 pm 18 . All previously unweighed steers will be weighed Tuesday , at 5 pm Steers must weigh a minimum of 900 lbs . No dairy steers are eligible .
