7 . What ’ s been your favorite sports memory ? I have two memories from sports that stick out to me . The first being my sophomore year winning regionals . This was a really fun experience to share with my teammates . The other being getting Coach Layne ’ s first season win . After the win we all dumped water over coach in the locker room , and it was a good experience to share with him . 8 . The conference you guys play in is brutal . You guys won the conference but didn ’ t make regional . First discuss the conference and then discuss how it felt to miss the regional and state tournament . How badly do you want to avenge the end of last year ? Our conference , in my opinion , is definitely the toughest in the state . Teams like Earle , EPC , Bay , and Rector were and still are really good teams . And you can ’ t count out Riverside and Cross County because they can come in and give you a fight . The feeling to miss out on going to regionals really sucked because we exceeded many expectations most had about us , but we just couldn ’ t quite make it to regionals . 9 . Aside from sports the Whitley ’ s are a big farm family . What has farming meant to you and your life ? Farming has always been a big part of my life , from riding tractors when I was little to now working when I ’ m not in school . It has been a good way to connect with my dad and many others that I love .
10 . How important is the BIC community to you and why ? I have been a part of the BIC community since I was born . Most of my family went to BIC so it was an easy choice for my parents to enroll me here . The community is very supportive of the basketball program and I am thankful for everyone that is a part of it .
