Dear Friends ,
After a mild but busy Winter , Delaware Nature Society is ready to welcome you back into our nature centers and preserves ! Just as the wildlife we protect thrives when properly cared for , so do we as a people thrive when we have natural spaces to enjoy and explore .
Starting this Spring and lasting through the Fall , our sites and natural areas will host educational programs and community events that are open to children , adults , DelNature members and the public . We take our role protecting and advocating for Delaware ’ s environment seriously , and one of the most effective ways to do that is to share and educate people about our natural , local wonders .

Whether its bird banding with our resident Ornithologist , hiking the trails at Ashland or Abbott ’ s Mill , visiting the Market at Coverdale or learning about Wilmington ’ s biodiversity at the DuPont Educational Environmental Center ( DEEC ), I invite you to learn something new while feeling the joy of getting outside . We ’ re also excited to bring back our popular First Fridays at the Farm and Music at the Mill event series .
