Expansion of Specialty Care : The Conrad Breast Center
In Nevada , the American Cancer Society estimates there will be over 18,000 new cancer cases including more than 2,800 new breast cancer cases in 2024 . Breast cancer is the most common cancer in northern Nevada .
To meet the expected rise in breast cancer cases , Renown Health Foundation launched an $ 11 million campaign to establish a breast health center in South Reno . The center will be housed in the Specialty Care Center at Renown South Meadows Medical Center and will open in early 2025 . The William N . Pennington Cancer Institute at Renown is excited to open the Conrad Breast Center , a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing comprehensive breast cancer care and support to patients in the region . Made possible by the generous $ 5 million donation from Jeanne and Raymond Conrad , it exemplifies our commitment to excellence in cancer care and our mission to improve the lives of those impacted by breast cancer .
