The large collection of doilies is a particular highlight of Christmas Village . Ken said they have sold thousands of these over the years since they are unique gift items and enhance other products in the store .
EarthWood products such as nativities and other religiousbased items are another bestseller . These products are made from Olive Wood in the Bethlehem area , and no two are exactly alike .
However , Christmas Village ' s ornament collection is perhaps the most notable feature .
" When you walk through the store , there ' s racks and racks of ornaments in different sections and different styles and about every category imaginable ," said Ken . " We have lots of unique ornaments . In fact , a lot of them you can ' t find any place else ."
There are gingerbread men , cats , birds , Santas , South Dakota ,
Mount Rushmore , military , farming and gardening ornaments . There are around 40 to 50 different breeds of dog ornaments , a large selection of realistic wildlife ornaments , a collection of children-oriented ornaments and an expansive Hallmark ornament collection .
" We have thousands of ornaments in this store ," said Ken . " In fact , we have almost 17,000 ornaments on the floor ," including duplicates .
Along with the ornaments , Christmas Village offers custom personalizing .
" We can do about anything with the ornaments ," said Ken . Where there is space , they can add a name or message . This is done on the spot and usually takes 15 minutes or less depending on how many ornaments need to be personalized .
