Q & A with Walnut Ridge Bobcat Logan Sain . By : Ryan Fletcher 1 . The Walnut Ridge Bobcats have proven to be one of the best teams in Class 3A and in Northeast Arkansas . You have been a big part of that success . What has it been like to play for such a successful team ? It has been really fun , especially after all the hard work we put in . 2 . You suffered a broken hand injury . When and how did that happen ? How have you recovered from that ? I broke my hand playing in a tournament in Gulf Shores during spring break sliding into third base . I have completely recovered . 3 . Coach Belcher states that you are one of the team ’ s top returning players . He ’ s obviously very confident in you . Does that give you confidence going into the final season and do you expect to have a big season ? Yes , it gives me confidence . I expect to have good year and help the team anyway I can . 4 . You also play football . Talk about your football career being a really good defensive player at linebacker while also playing on the offensive side of the ball . I would say I had a good football career and a really good senior season .

5 . Coach Belcher expects you to bat in the middle of the order . How would you describe yourself as a hitter ? I would describe myself as a gap to gap hitter .

6 . You will also be tasked with pitching some . You guys have solid pitching depth with guys like Rex Tedder and Maddox Jean . What expectations have you set for yourself on the mound and what pitches do you throw ? I expect myself to just be able to come in a throw strikes and trust my defense behind me . Fastball , Slider , Curveball .

7 . Coach Belcher was drafted and was a bigtime player here in Northeast Arkansas . What is it like learning from a guy that has such an awesome background in baseball ? It is a great experience to have a coach that played at such a high level .

8 . What are your expectations for this year ’ s baseball team ? Who needs to have a big season for you all to be successful ? I expect to win conference and make a run in the postseason . Jersie Cunningham is a freshman who could help out a lot this year .
