HB 1013 regional apprenticeship programs

The Legislature adopted this bill to create a pilot program with five regional apprenticeships . Three sites will be located west of the Cascades and two on the East side . The programs aim to introduce high-school students early to career paths in the trades while supporting employers ’ workforce needs .
HB 1232 college bound scholarship

This bill enhances the College Bound scholarship , which provides financial aid to students from low-income families to attend two- or four-year colleges . AWB supported this bill as part of efforts to expand access to post-secondary education . The measure passed the House 92-3 and the Senate 39-10 .
