2023 Annual Report | Page 5

Home of the Innocents had another impactful year , and we are honored to share with you our accomplishments and progress . Our mission to enrich the lives of children and families with hope , health , and happiness continues to guide us and we are grateful for your support .
Throughout the year , our organization has remained steadfast in our commitment to improving the lives of those in our care as well as the lives of our team members . Perhaps one of the most exciting achievements from the past year was receiving our official Sanctuary™ certification . This important designation affirms the Home ’ s commitment to providing a high level of care and a trauma-sensitive environment for team members and those we serve .
Last year , we saw the total number of individuals served increase by nearly 30 %. With that increase , we continue to take advantage of new opportunities to grow the impact of our programs and services throughout the community . As we recognized our 143rd anniversary , we were so grateful to welcome visitors back onto our campus to celebrate with residents for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic . Through events like our Heroes for the Home signature fundraising breakfast , we engaged the community , raised critical funds , and united our voices to show support for children and families throughout Kentucky .
As we reflect on the achievements of the past year , we are reminded of the unwavering support and generosity of our donors , volunteers , and advocates . Your contributions have been instrumental in driving our mission forward , enabling us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve . We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every individual who has played a part in our success , and we remain deeply committed to upholding the trust and confidence you have placed in us .
