I lived in a cold and draughty corner of the world where the town decayed year by year and seemed to be quite forgotten . The cobblestones were worn and wet from the icy sea spray and the tide was always strange . Towering cliffs lined the borders which kept the town in an endless shadow .
Here , on this gloomy slice of coast is where my heart was broken .
~.~ A woman threw Forget-Me-Nots into the water today . She wore a thin nightie and had forgotten her shoes . With her toes curled tightly over the edge of the harbour wall , she stared out over the open water .
