These starving bones of mine
A N A N T H O L O G Y
These Starving Bones of Mine is the first anthology of its kind to represent and celebrate the creative and critical writing from within the School of English . The anthology contains writing from across each academic level : undergraduate , postgraduate taught and research students . This visceral collection , with a foreword by Daniel O ’ Connor and an introduction by Ravenna Christie , features short fiction , poetry , creative-critical projects and academic essays .
All contributions , whether literally or abstractly have articulated the concept of the body in a variety of different shapes and spaces . More specifically , what are the private workings of our internal and external landscapes and how do our bodies differ from the others ? As an illustration , the anthology explores the image of the dead body , the loved and unloved body , the oppressed and transgressive body , the pained and suffering body and many more .
