STAMFORD
Stamford is located near the southwestern corner of Vermont , on the Massachusetts state line .

Sunderland and Arlington are popular launching sites for river adventures . Vermont River Runners rents canoes , kayaks , and tubes , and offers pickup service .
WINHALL
The town has 742 registered voters , and there are more second homes than primary residences .
Winhall is the gateway to Stratton Mountain Resort , the region ’ s premier skiing destination . Bromley is just up the road , too .
The little village of Bondville on Route 30 anchors the commercial and civic life of the town and supplies visitors with the necessities .
Community life is centered on the wonderful Winhall Library , located in an old schoolhouse .
The recently renovated and reopened Community Arts Center is another social and cultural venue .
Stratton Mountain School has sent dozens of students to the Olympics , with a record of three gold medalists , one silver medalist , two bronze medalists , and several top-10 placements .
