The CVI is among the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular centers in the country , and we are proud to have been identified once again as a top cardiovascular center nationally by U . S . News & World Report . Throughout these pages , you will see highlights of the accomplishments and recognition earned by our clinical programs . As evidenced by the data , the outcomes and level of care provided to our patients remain exceptional .
In addition to our focus on patient care , the CVI provides an environment that supports comprehensive training programs for trainees and staff and promotes clinical and outcomes research across disciplines . UAB experts conduct research to discover knowledge that facilitates scientific breakthroughs and enhances methods for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease . Multiple CVI physician care teams have been recognized as top enrollers in ongoing clinical research trials , enabling us to offer cutting-edge therapies and technologies to our patients and making us a prime candidate for future trials .
