Climate Action - Sharing Our Expertise
Through collaboration and partnership , we provide thought leadership and technical expertise to organizations aligned with our climate and sustainability goals .
Examples of professional associations and organizations in which we are members and actively participate include the following :
■ At various industry forums , e . g ., the biannual Edison Electric Institute ( EEI ) Transmission , Distribution , Metering and Mutual Assistance Conference , we actively engage with clients on climate-related resiliency planning ( e . g ., microgrids , grid hardening ) and severe weather response capabilities .
■ We actively engage with Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance ( SSCA ) as a supplier to our utility clients , collaborating on ESG / sustainability best practices .
■ We provide speakers and thought leadership to organizations such as American Wind Energy Association ( AWEA ), Solar Energy Industries Association ( SEIA ), and National Hydropower Association ( NHA ) to promote cost effective renewable energy for our clients in various market sectors .
■ We joined the American Biogas Council in 2020 , a trade association championing the entire biogas industry – working on behalf of manufacturers , policymakers , digestion operators , RNG suppliers , and more .
■ TRC is a member of the Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory Board through the Zofnass Program at Harvard University .
■ We are members of the American Public Transportation Association ( APTA ) Sustainability Committee and hold Gold Level recognition from APTA for our sustainability program achievements since 2017 .
■ TRC is a founding member of , and strategic advisor to , the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub ( ARCH2 ), which brings together private industry , state and local government , academic and technology institutions , NGOs , and community organizations across the Northern Appalachian region to leverage the many strengths of the region and develop an inter-connected , full value chain H2Hub solution . ARCH2 aims to include all private and public sector entities with interests in achieving a regional hydrogen economy that can ultimately become a driving force for a national hydrogen network .
