GOLF & GREENS COMMITTEE
August proved to be an active month for golf at LGCC , helped in part by cooler than normal temperatures . Even with the three day closure for aeration the club hosted a number of well attended outings , which hopefully boosted our revenue numbers for the month . The senior men ’ s team split a home and away series with Orchard Creek , keeping their undefeated home game streak in tack . The ladies held their annual Handicap Tournament , and high school golf got underway .
September looks to be just as interesting , with RCHS District Meet on the 1st , followed by the MOAA tournament on the 16th . The senior men will play Lakeview and Spotswood during the month and the Ladies Member-Member will take place on September 24 -25 . Young Life and the YMCA will hold charity outings on the 23rd and 30th respectively . Scott plans to mix in our regular member activities , along with another possible Glow Ball outing .
Jake and crew have got the course mowing caught up , to everyone ’ s great relief , and conditions are excellent . Scott is working on the conversion back to the Ghin system , which has progressed slower than hoped . Please plan to support our member activities and let the staff know what a good job they are doing .
See you on the course .
