It is amazing how time flies ! It is already September and school is back in session . Activities at Lexington Golf and Country Club have slowed down a bit , but the pool is still open until the end of the month with new hours in place . The restaurant has been consistently steady with several events this summer . We continue to receive rave reviews about the food ! I know we are all looking forward to Chef ’ s fall inspired creations . We continue to strive for excellence in hospitality and quality of service .
We have several Private Events coming up in the next few months that may cause some delays on the Golf Course or hours of operation changes in the Clubhouse . We will keep you posted on any changes , please look at the Weekly Club emails for all updates .
I encourage all members to reach out to Deborah , our Marketing and Sales Manager to plan your next event . The team has done an excellent job with arranging the banquet area of the Club to display assorted designs for events . If you have any questions , Deborah would be happy to assist with planning your next event .
As members , you are all the best resource for bringing in new members so keep inviting your friends to the club and let them enjoy all that Lexington Golf and Country Club has to offer .
I would also like to take some time to thank Susan Delfort , our Office Manager for her hard work and dedication to the Club . Susan is leaving her position and we wish her the best of luck on her new endeavors . She has been a huge part of this club and will be missed by everyoneat LGCC .
Another special thanks goes to Dr . Ralph Caldroney for implementing a process for our members who may experience heat exhaustion during those hot days of summer . We are training all staff of the protocol to be used if a situation arises in the future .
I look forward to seeing more faces this Fall . Before you know it , the leaves will be changing , and the air will be getting cooler . This has always been a wonderful time to play golf and enjoy those clear brisk evenings on the patio .
