What is the most fulfilling or rewarding part of being a mother ?
As they say , being a mother is one of the most demanding and most challenging jobs in the world , yet it ' s also the most rewarding . We often think that motherhood is all about hard work and sacrifices ; we neglect that it lets us experience the purest joy and genuine love .
It is a gift and a blessing to be a mother . I can ' t think of anything more significant I could be and do in my life than being a mother . I discovered the meaning of true and unconditional love from bearing a child in your womb , having sleepless nights , stressful days , but those motherhood experiences are just priceless . It is something that money can ' t buy . Above all , being a mother gives us a sense of purpose as a woman ; it simply makes us a better person .
How do you balance your role in your line of work and , at the same time , as a mom ?
Splitting our time between work and family is quite a challenge because we will face a unique set of struggles . We want to excel as a mother and , at the same time , as a professional . To have the perfect work-life balance of being a mom and a career woman , start prioritizing and setting up a routine that works best for you . Defining one ' s own work-life balance means we must know how to determine what is essential and expertly navigate our professional and personal lives . We have to be present where we are . When you ' re at home , be at home . Keep in mind that we have to leave work at work .
And as for me , I am always guided by the matrix of attending to first important and urgent matters , and one key takeaway is that we should be able to plan things well and avoid cramming . I feel confident that being a successful , hardworking mom isn ' t always easy , yet it is a fulfilling journey . It can be beyond rewarding to experience the best of both worlds .

What is the most fulfilling or rewarding part of being a mother ?
Being able to witness my children happy and successful in whatever they are involved in at that particular point in their own lives , no matter how trivial or big it may be , no matter how young or old they are .

How do you balance your role in your line of work and at the same time being a mom ?
I am blessed to have a very strong support team in MR . DIY as well as in my family . This particular fact enables me to keep sane and balanced , given the demands of my role as the head of a fast- growing retail company and as a mom to our 2 children . I welcome their opinion and feedback on work-related matters , being young adults that they are now . They give me good helpful insights from the perspective of their generation .
I make it a point that no matter how busy I am , I squeeze in quick chats with our kids during the day or give them a hug and a kiss before going to work or before going to sleep , just to make them feel that they are always loved no matter what .

What is the most fulfilling or rewarding part of being a mother ?
Being a mother is one of life ’ s most rewarding experiences . They say that you are not a complete woman unless you are able to bear a child . I truly believe in that saying because when my two boys Zachary and Malcolm came into my life , it was such a bliss , unexplainable kind of joy . From watching them when they were babies , noticing the little things and watching them grow into unique , caring adults are moments that I wouldn ’ t trade for any riches in the world .
They are my jewels !
How do you balance your role in your line of work and at the same time being a mom ?
With so many demands on my time , it ’ s hard to be everything to everyone . I am juggling a number of roles and goals in my life and sometimes I find it hard to separate my role as a mother and as an entrepreneur . All of these things take your time and energy and often run into conflict with each other . As there are only 24 hours in a day , you may have to think about your values and set some priorities based on those values . While it ’ s a lot to balance two important aspects of life , career and family , that demand so much of your time , it is really doable . It ’ s no longer a matter of
Career vs Family . You don ’ t have to look at the situation as binary . You can still have a successful career and be a wonderful mom , on your own terms .
Why am I an entrepreneur is not because I just wanted to be one . At first it was for my own goal , but ever since I became a mother , the reason why I am working so hard is because of my children . If I immerse myself in all the responsibilities of being an entrepreneur and neglect my responsibilities as a parent , I would be doing myself a disservice .

The most fulfilling part of being a mother is seeing my children grow up to be good , kind , God fearing , hardworking individuals . This is what i have always prayed for .
Now that they are young adults , I am thankful for answered prayers . Prayers continue .
How do you balance your role in your line of work and at the same time as a mom ?
I was in the retail / mall business for over three decades . Working in retail / malls is a 24 / 7 job given the numerous customer , merchant , operational concerns that need to be addressed . Work life balance was truly a challenge . However , as my children were growing up , I realized that working in retail / malls is also a blessing . My kids saw me as a cool mom who was passionate about shopping , dining and entertainment . They liked “ my office .” They enjoyed the mall inspections I do with them in tow . I may have had to work even during weekends and holidays at times , but it meant they could tag along to a happy place . It also helps that in retail , we are up to date with the latest and this keeps us forever young . Kudos to all the hardworking moms in retail and the malls !!!
