Sandra Renee McLeroy DeJong was a dedicated Baylor Scott & White nurse who worked in various positions for 30 years , including her most recent as manager of the electrophysiology department on the Dallas campus . She began her career at Baylor University Medical Center after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University School of Nursing . Her warm smile and compassionate spirit touched the hearts of her patients and her coworkers at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas .
When Sandra passed away on September 4 , 2021 , she was a strong and well-respected leader who was an excellent mentor and role model . Her warm smile and compassionate spirit touched the hearts of her patients and her co-workers at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas . As a beloved co-worker and friend , wife and mother , her compassion and love for others will be missed by all who knew her .
In honor of the difference she made in the lives of many , an electrophysiology lab was dedicated to her in November 2021 .
