AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY COLLABORATION
Shelley Hall , MD , FACC , FHFSA , FAST , chief of transplant cardiology , mechanical circulatory support and heart failure at Baylor University Medical Center , was inaugurated as the first female President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology ( ACC ) in March 2022 to serve a three-year term . The ACC aims to contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and to ensure quality care for individuals with CV disease . The not-for-profit organization serves as a resource to local and state governmental and professional organizations for issues related to cardiovascular disease .
Members of the Baylor Dallas advanced heart failure team work with the American College of Cardiology and other heart failure-related organizations to serve as section leaders and contributors to advance the future of heart failure medicine .

Since 2011 , Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas has been one of three national educational sites chosen by the American College of Cardiology Foundation to provide the ACC CV Essentials Program . The program offers educational content designed to keep industry personnel aware of the changing cardiovascular environment . In June 2022 , the Advanced Heart Failure Dallas team , led by Shelley Hall , MD , presented the content on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which included clinical knowledge , disease mechanisms and clinical treatment of the disease .
