ATHLETIC FACILITIES
Big League Dreams Sports Park is a child athlete ’ s dream come true . The fields are scaled-down replicas of famous ballparks like Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field , and it also houses batting cages and indoor soccer fields . The Chester L . Davis Sportsplex is another popular athletic complex with fields for baseball , soccer , football , sand pits for volleyball , and playgrounds . Hometown Heroes is a 28-acre Parks and Rec facility where kids and adults participate in sports and other events , including swimming leagues , fencing tournaments and exercise classes .
SHOPPING
Founder ’ s Square is a popular shopping destination in League City ’ s Historic District , home to several locally owned boutiques housed in colorful Victorian-style buildings . Just north of League City is Baybrook Mall where you ’ ll find dozens of shops and restaurants , Star Cinema Grill and outdoor play spaces for kids . Drive 10 minutes south and you ’ ll find a huge beach-themed Buc-ee ’ s ( a Texas staple ) and an expansive outlet mall that carries all your favorite brands .

There is no shortage of excellent cuisine in League City and the surrounding areas . Enjoy waterfront views while you dine on fresh oysters at Pier 6 Seafood & Oysters . Grab some authentic German schnitzel at King ’ s BierHaus or try some great Cajun food at BB ’ s Tex- Orleans . Want to try a new breakfast place ? PARKS
It ’ s easy to enjoy time outside in League City with the many beautiful parks spread across town . The Ghirardi Family WaterSmart Park is dedicated to water conservation with rain gardens , rainwater collection cisterns , a green roof , native landscaping and a playground . Countryside Park sits along Clear Creek and features a kayak launch , walking trails , athletic fields , basketball courts , volleyball pits , picnic tables , a playground and a large dog park with agility equipment . Further down Clear Creek is Heritage Park . This picturesque park has a playground , kayak launch , turtle pond and plenty of wildlife viewing along the banks of the creek . With more than 10 parks , each with so much to offer , take your time and explore the beautiful subtropical environment that makes League City bloom with colorful flowering plants , emerald grass and canopies of towering trees .
