The leader in visionary education , the Clear Creek Independent School District is one of the largest school districts in Texas , serving 40,000 students in its 27 elementary , 10 intermediate and seven high schools . The district spans 103 square miles and 13 municipalities in two counties , including League City , Webster , Kemah , Seabrook , Nassau Bay , Clear Lake Shores , El Lago and Friendswood .
District students perform at a higher level than their state and national peers on the PSAT , SAT and ACT exams . The district is home to nationally recognized visual and performing arts programs , competitive athletics and strong college and career preparatory programs . The district also places great emphasis on the well-rounded student , infusing character education and leadership development programs with academic curriculum .
As the region continues to grow and expand , in May 2017 , the community approved a $ 487 million bond to improve district schools and support
EDUCATION
services . The Bond Program is in full gear , with 41 percent of the $ 487 million bond projects under contract and underway as of September 2018 .
For the 16th straight year , the district earned the highest rating possible from the Texas Financial Integrity Rating System .
The district has been named a “ Top Workplace in Houston ” by the Houston Chronicle for six years .

The Dickinson Independent School District offers families a diverse , fast-growing community with a small-town atmosphere that is within easy access of big-town amenities . Students and staff experience a district rooted in tradition , but , at the same time , excel in 21st century learning opportunities covering academics , athletics , fine arts and much more . The district includes 14 campuses which cover 61 square miles , including the city of Dickinson , the unincorporated communities of Bacliff and San Leon , as well as portions of the cities of League City and Texas City .
Dickinson ISD is known as
“ Gator Nation ” with Big Al as the mascot of all district campuses , which proudly wear the colors of blue and white . New students move into Dickinson ISD each year with enrollment increasing by approximately 2,500 students over the past 10 years . Demographic reports project the district will grow by approximately 3,000 students over the next 10 years .
More than $ 400 million has been invested in district facilities over the past 16 years through five voter-approved bond issues . The most recently approved bond referendum in November 2020 is providing the district ’ s third junior high campus , Dickinson Junior High , which is under construction just off FM 2004 in Texas City on the southern end of the Dickinson ISD district boundaries .
When the junior high opens in August 2023 , the district will realign grade levels to accommodate full-day prekindergarten districtwide to qualifying students . The realignment will include grades Pre-K to 3rd in elementary school , grades 4-5 in middle school , grades 6-8 in junior high and grades 9-12 in high school . Also included in the bond referendum are additions and renovations to the Transportation Center , the Agricultural Center and the Technology Center ; parking lot replacement and drainage work at Hughes Road Elementary ; security and safety improvements ; and replacement of the running track at McAdams Junior High . Dickinson ISD also offers an emphasis on innovative science , technology , engineering , art and math instruction through a district STEAM Academy , which is available to students in grades 5-8 through an application process .

Odyssey Academy is an open enrollment public charter school with more than 1,400 students at three locations in Galveston , El Lago and Texas City . The school exists to provide the best learning environment throughout the Gulf Coast area , serving students from pre-kindergarten through high school .
The curriculum focuses on four effective approaches that , in combination , set Odyssey apart from other public-school programs :
1 . Odyssey offers a full-day Pre-K program for qualifying 3- and 4-year-old children . There is strong evidence showing that children who participate in highquality Pre-K programs enter school more ready to learn than others . Odyssey believes parents should have the opportunity to give their children this advantage .
