LEADER : For Soror Ethel Hedgemon Lyle who had the audacity to dream dreams and the inspiration and desire to organize a sorority , let us pray to the Lord saying ,
ALL : LORD , BLESS OUR SORORITY .
LEADER : For Sorors Anna Easter Brown , Beulah Burke , Lavinia Norman , Lillie Burke , Lucy Diggs Slowe , Marie Woolfolk Taylor , Marjorie Hill and Margaret Flagg Holmes who were there at our beginning and were trailblazers in their time , let us pray to the Lord saying ,
ALL : LORD , BLESS OUR SORORITY .
LEADER : For Sorors Alice Murray , Carrie Snowden , Ethel Jones-Mowbray , Harriet Josephine Terry , Joanna Berry-Shields , Norma Elizabeth Boyd and Sarah Meriweather-Nutter , the sophomores who were added to complete this historic group , let us pray to the Lord saying ,
ALL : LORD , BLESS OUR SORORITY .
LEADER : For our 16 visionary , scholarly , talented , ingenious , inspiring , beloved Founders who gave birth to Alpha Kappa Alpha 114 years ago , let us pray to the Lord saying ,

LEADER : For Sorors Nellie Quander , Norma Boyd and Minnie Smith who provided for the legal incorporation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , let us pray to the Lord saying ,
ALL : LORD , BLESS OUR SORORITY .
LEADER : For Soror Nellie Quander , the dynamic , dedicated , firm , resourceful and scholarly soror who served as our First Supreme Basileus and presided at the first Ivy Day , let us pray to the Lord saying ,
