For over 35 years , Carol has been involved in almost every area of the Association as a manager and a supplier . Her knowledge and experience has been a huge asset in developing and educating rising stars in the industry . Most notably , she authored Miss Management column in Apartment Trends for over 20 years . |
Susan has been a part of almost every committee at AAMD . Her work with membership and ambassadors for years helped grow the association to where it is today . Susan has and continues to teach AAMD seminars . She is a huge proponent of supplier involvement and helping them succeed in the multifamily industry . |
As a leader , DJ defines volunteerism with action . He doesn ’ t just volunteer expecting others to do the work . He has personally been involved and working on initiatives and projects for AAMD throughout his career . He has helped with IROC , JLAC , Education and was president of AAMD in 2016 . |

Tom opened the Apartment Finders International in 1971 and promptly joined AAMD . He was a huge advocate of the association and was one of the original supporters of the AAMD Vacancy and Rent Survey . Tom was very active with Family Homestead , which is AAMD ’ s signature charity still today . Tom lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in 2011 . |
Jack the Roofer , as he ’ s been known for decades , was so charitable . His generosity of providing donations to the food banks and always donating a booth to Family Homested at the Trade Show are just a couple examples of his philanthropic nature . He has been memorialized with the AAMD Pay It Forward Award each year at June Awards . |
With over 40 years of AAMD involvement and volunteerism , including being a Past AAMD President , he taught CAM and so many other educational programs for decades ! He was a NAA Regional Vice President for several terms but is best known for leading the Colorado Apartment Association for 14 straight years as the CAA President . |
