Hello Spring , We Are So Glad You Are Here !
Welcome new members to our LGCC family : Reggie & Lucy Wallace Michael & Susan Friski
What a fabulous and busy February we had ! Special Thanks to Steve Grist and Teri Coleman for helping us with our annual cornhole tournament . What a fun night out with friends .
Another lovely evening at our February 12th Valentines Day Dinner ! We had a full house enjoying a scrumptious dinner with great music . Next year we plan to move this special night upstairs so you can kick off your shoe ’ s and dance the night away !
We have a lot scheduled for our members for the month of March . Be sure not to miss our St . Patrick ’ s Day Celebration with live Celtic music on March 17th , beginning at 5:30 pm . Join us for a fun night with John Morman and Diana Schofield who have been playing Celtic Music together for over a decade . They have performed at multiple local and national events in Lexington and Clifton Forge , festivals in Dandridge , Tennessee , and most recently in Asheville , NC . John is from Scotland and knows the history of many of the old ballads they sing . It makes for an authentic and informative celtic experience !
Diana Schofield has owned Rockbridge Music in Lexington for over 37 years and has played in many local bluegrass bands , including Diana and The Tabasco Boys , Cuttin ’ the Grass , Stay Tuned , and others . Together , John and Diana combine the Celtic and bluegrass flavors to create their own style . Please be sure to make reservations so we may better serve you and your guests .
Please mark your calendar for April 1st to attend Cocktails for a Cause . We are partnering with Rockbridge Area Relief Association ( RARA ). Cocktails for a Cause is a special event at LGCC to help non-profit organizations . We want to bridge the relationship between the Lexington Golf & Country Club community with the larger Southwestern Virginia Community to generate awareness and help build bridges to lend a helping hand . We feel a responsibility to come together as one community and directly empower programs that work towards a common goal of improving the quality of life for those in need . We are excited to announce the Rockbridge Area Relief Association ( RARA ) Cocktails and Dinner Event on April 1st from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm . 10 % of the proceeds on all dinners sold will go to RARA . Please join us for a wonderful evening of dining . Your support is greatly appreciated .
