Capitol Hill 101 is a training program to inform , equip and mobilize ordinary citizens for purposeful , authentic , and effective action in support of good public policy . The goal is to train a grassroots army of citizen legislative liaisons who will build longterm , personal relationships with legislators so those who represent us are welleducated on the issues that matter to families through personal contact with those in their community .
Topics include the importance of personal relationships , the legislative process , the committee process , floor debate , who is important and why , legal guidelines for citizen lobbyists , and more . In the training we partner with actual Congressional staff and Members of Congress to give participants the real feel of lobbying .
