MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The 2022 Membership year is off and running with new members , new events for golf , and creating excellent opportunities for family fun at our newly renovated pool .
Our new General Manager , Tim Burkhart , has started and will bring experience and enthusiasm to LGCC and guide our membership during these upcoming summer months and beyond . Welcome Tim !
To have a prosperous and sustainable club we need to grow our membership . Last year we had a net gain of new members for the first time in many years . In 2022 , we are continuing this trend but need the membership to help us promote the club to increase our membership to meet our goal of 25 net new members for the year . We have created a simple one-page flyer to help members present the benefits and costs of the club . Please pick up copies in the administration office . Members are our best ambassadors so introduce or refer potential members to Deborah Goglia and she will assist in presenting the club offerings to potential members . The best time to bring potential new members to the club is June , July and August when many events are happening and the pool is open .
Membership engagement is critical for the health and wellbeing of the club . Last year we invested in the golf course and maintenance and added pickleball to the tennis facility . This year we continued to enhance the club facilities especially in the pool area . We have added a Pool Gate Café and upgraded the whole facility so families can enjoy the best pool in the Valley . Come by and take a look . You will be impressed !
The most significant engagement change we started in 2022 is to have Major Event Weekends for all members to enjoy . We just successfully completed the “ Stars and Stripes ” Memorial Day Weekend event . In June , we will have the Member Guest weekend on June 17-19 and NOTE that all members are invited to the dinner and music on Saturday night , June 18th during this weekend . We will also have both July 4th and Member Member weekends to follow in July incorporating similar events for all members .
Our committee is always open to membership ideas so let us know how we can get better . Also , tell us how we are doing so we can continue to grow and prosper as a club and make 2022 a tremendous year for Lexington Golf and Country Club
