POOL COMMITTEE
The Pool will be opening on Friday , June 10th .
A special thanks to Molly Steele , board member and Chair of the Pool Committee for her vision and commitment to improving our pool facilities . Molly ’ s vision of changes and improvements needed to our tired pool has been in place for the past two years and has come to fruition . Natalie Garvis , board member , assembled 40 plus volunteers to complete the work and acted as onsite foreman . These two individuals as well as staff , volunteers and administration worked relentlessly . The Board of Directors is so appreciative . This is a wonderful example of working together to make our Club a great place to come and have fun .
After a long wait , the pool is open ! The past two months have been a whirlwind of updates to the facilities and the launch of the new pool gate cafe . The entire fence , pool deck , and bathrooms have been repaired and repainted . New tarp installations around the deck and additional tables with umbrellas have added some much-needed shade areas . Our committee is most excited about the launch of the pool gate cafe . Grab a drink at the new bar and enjoy some hot dogs or pre-packaged meals to go . LGCC is also now the proud owner of a slushy machine !
The entire renovation effort , led by Natalie Garvis , was no small task . We would especially like to thank the dozens of volunteers who donated their time , expertise , and resources to make this happen !
The activities crew is hard at work planning social and family events poolside . Stay tuned for the first Rubber Ducky Night and Dive In of the season . Interested in swim lessons ? Schedule individual or group swim lessons with the lifeguards . Contact LGCC for more details .
Looking forward to seeing you at the pool !
