Course Update : The LGCC maintenance team has been hard at work during the month of June ! The weather has been great , for the most part , the hot and humid summer days will be upon us soon enough . The team has been working hard to keep the course in peak playable condition !
As many of you have heard , the maintenance team has been reduced in number as we lost a few employees during the month of June . However , the team will be fully staffed by the time your reading this newsletter . Please help our team in welcoming the new faces you see around the property and the club !
The month of July is in full swing , which means the maintenance team is focused on keeping the playing surfaces mowed and trimmed . Our projects have been put on hold for a few weeks but will resume once time allows our team to conduct .
The LGCC maintenance team enjoyed being able to provide the members and their guests with an optimal course to enjoy the club ’ s annual Member-Guest tournament . The team is now looking forward to raising the bar for the 120-year Member-Member Event held later this month . We are optimistic the greens will be rolling fast , firm and true for the event . We look forward to the membership ’ s participation , as the team views this event as a showcase for our member base to enjoy the course .
Please do your part and help our maintenance team keep the course in the best shape possible by replacing your divots and repairing your ball marks . Not only will this enhance your experience , but it will also go a long way for the golfers behind you who may find themselves with a great lie in the fairway only to find their ball in an old divot . Provided on the carts are bottles of sand to refill your divot and ball mark repair tools are for sale in the pro shop !
If there are any questions or concerns regarding the course , please do not hesitate to stop me when you see me around the property and ask . And as always , we are continuing to work hard in order to provide you , the members , with the best possible playing conditions in the Valley !
