Board Candidate Bios :
Jack Bovay
Jack Bovay currently serves as President of the LGCC and looks forward to a second term on the Board .
Jack has focused on improving the value of our memberships , holding our management firm accountable , stabilizing our finances and advancing our relationship with Washington and Lee .
Bob Hobbs
Bobby is the Chief Lending Officer at CornerStone Bank . He graduated from Elon University with a BA in Finance and Business in 2010 along with a Master ’ s in Business Administration from Shenandoah University in 2013 .
Bobby has served on the Board of Directors of the Rockbridge Community Health Foundation since 2016 and has been Chairman of the Board since 2019 . He is a former Director of Main Street Lexington . He and his wife Megan have lived in Lexington since 2015 and 2013 respectively after she joined the Staff of Washington & Lee University in the Student Affairs Department . They have two daughters : Anabelle and Penelope ; ages five and one .
Tammy Shomo
I am both honored and humbled to be considered as a candidate to serve you on the LGCC Board . As a native of Rockbridge County , a LGCC member for twenty plus years , a nearby resident , and one whose family utilizes all facets of the club , I am eager to learn and help navigate this club through the next phase .
Randy and I will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this August , and we have one son , John , who is a rising sophomore at James Madison University . When home , John is blessed to work at LGCC as a cart attendant . This spring , he also helped paint and ready the pool for opening . We are probably best known as the family who golfs together regularly , but we can often be found lounging by the pool , playing tennis , and dining at the club . When not
