Based on the feedback from our members the 2022 Member Guest was a success . Congratulations to the overall champions : Shawn Watkins and his guest Corey Mace . They played great all weekend and were victorious in the 3-hole shootout . Other flight winners who advanced to the shootout were Rocky and John Trudgeon ; John Conlon and his guest Paul Gargano ; and Darrin Webb and his guest Tim Rockefeller .
All teams were patient and understanding as we encountered a delay in Friday ’ s play due to the storm that came through closing the course and shutting down power until Saturday at noon . Players had to play 25 holes on Saturday , finishing close to 4:00 pm . They then returned for dinner and the outdoor concert with Sara Jane McDonald . The weather cleared up on Saturday and Sunday , and the members and their guest were able to play and enjoy the weekend on the course . We also had an ongoing putting , chipping , and island green challenge throughout the tournament . Darrin Webb , Shawn Watkins and Corey Mace won these individual events .
Our next Major golf event is our Annual Member – Member , scheduled for July 16 and 17 . We would like to get 30 teams for this fun and competitive event . Play will be on Saturday and Sunday in a fourball format using handicaps and flights to determine four teams that will advance to Sunday ’ s shootout . As with all great LCGG events , we will have dinner and music this weekend for everyone to enjoy . The party begins with a Calcutta wagering event Friday evening , Rocky Trudgeon and James Owens are spearheading this . Sign up for the Annual Member - Member Tournament today !
The Spring Junior golf session concluded on June 21st with a 36-player adult / child 9-hole tournament . We will resume Tuesday classes in mid-July . Call the Golf Shop if you would like to
