GENERAL MANAGER
Happy New Year ! We truly appreciate your support during one of the most unique years we have ever had . We seem to have navigated our way through COVID and are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel . We have caught up on a lot of deferred maintenance in many areas of the Club . Jake and his staff have done a fantastic job getting the golf course and greens in the best shape ever , and most importantly , our number of overall members have grown significantly with lots of new faces around the Club . We are looking forward to continuing the momentum and an even better 2022 !
As you know by now , we are going to be open regular hours , Wednesday through Sunday , in the Grill the first couple of weeks of the year . In the past we have been closed , not this year . We will do off-season cleaning , but we will be open to serve the membership . Expect some seasonal upgrades to all our menus . We will continue Family Dinner Night on Wednesdays , $ 7 Burger Night on Thursdays , Specials all week and Kids Eat Free on Saturday nights .
Even though it ’ s January , there is lots going on at the Club . Sip & Paint is a painting class with all the supplies provided , including the wine . We have the LGCC Indoor Putting Championship on the 15th , a special Wine Event on the 22nd , Sunday Brunch , Prime Rib Night and as much golf and pickleball as we can play weather permitting .
Attached in the newsletter is the 2022 Lexington Golf and Country Club Calendar . It doesn ’ t have everything on it but marks the dates of our major events so you can plan accordingly . Also , later in the year , we don ’ t make firm plans for certain events until we know the VMI and Virginia Tech football schedules .
Lastly , the staff would like to thank the membership for their generous donation to the Employee Holiday Fund and all the individual gifts to employees who went above and beyond .
