From parent associations planning repairs to their local school building to children learning to read and write to women launching a new business , there are a thousand reasons to feel inspired . 10,744 individuals received emergency aid in Pakistan and Afghanistan
1,142 teachers received training
10,170 children attended CAIsupported schools , a threefold increase from the previous year
Looking back on 2022 , I feel immense gratitude . Across the areas where Central Asia Institute works , students , teachers , our partners , and entire communities showed up with courage , creativity , and perseverance in their pursuit of education and a brighter future . And you , as our supporters , made the decision to stand by these communities , time and time again .
I ’ m proud to share CAI ’ s 2022 Impact Report . On these pages you ’ ll read about the critical programming you made possible for girls , boys , and women born into unimaginable hardship and for whom education is the best hope for a better future .
