FORDHAM PREP 2022 ANNUAL GIVING REPORT
FROM OUR CHAIRMAN
Dear Members of the Fordham Prep Community ,
As the 2021 – 2022 fiscal year closed this past June , so did the extraordinary nine-year tenure of our recent President Fr . Christopher Devron , S . J .
This period produced unprecedented success in the long and storied history of the Prep . It also was a testament to our community ’ s resilience as we endured several crises , including a global pandemic . These moments not only put our educational model , now nearly two centuries old , to the test but also brought out the best in the Fordham Prep community . Members of the faculty , staff , and administration sacrificed tremendously to keep the Prep ’ s doors open each school day . Our alumni network provided tremendous financial support to ensure that our students were safe , afforded an educational model with hybrid choices , and most importantly , guaranteed the continuation of their education regardless of their financial pressure . Inspirational acts by all members of our community were plentiful .
The success during the Devron years , including the 2021 – 2022 fiscal year , has set us up well for the years to come , starting with our search for a new president . The Board of Trustees is extremely confident that we will find an experienced leader that shares our Catholic Jesuit identity , possesses a vision for the future , continues to attract and retain talented faculty and staff , all while ensuring best practices for the education of young men .
Our new president will be given the resources to build upon the success of the last nine years because of the extraordinary generosity and spirit of the Fordham Prep community .
Thank you for your support in the 2021 – 2022 fiscal year . I am extremely grateful for all those who have contributed to our recent successes . The Prep ’ s future is very bright and I am very excited to see what it brings .
God Bless and Go Rams !
Mario A . Ciampi ’ 78 Chairman Fordham Prep Board of Trustees
