Being more compact , with about 30 % smaller leaves than its parent , the ‘ Kong ’ series makes the Kong Jr . series great for not only the landscape but planters as well . Reaching heights near 2 feet and a width of up to over 30 inches these attractive serrated point leafed plants are perfect for big color in shady spots . Plant them near entryways , as a background plant in the landscape , under trees , or patio pots . Wherever you have a need for a pop of color in the shade , any of our four Kong Jr . varieties will do the trick . Their big appeal does not mean a big amount of work . Another positive about these low maintenance beauties is that they are not very appealing to your local deer population . One maintenance tip would be to remove any flower stems that pop up so the plants can continue to focus all their energy on large foliage growth .
