Custom Grown with You in mind
Every year , Lucas Greenhouses offers a custom grow annual program for the spring and a custom grow pansy program for the fall . These custom plants are grown in our 1801 Root Stepper Flats which features 18 single cells per flat , with each flat measuring 20 ” x10 ” x 3 5 / 8 ”. The Root Stepper promotes interior root pruning in stepped levels producing quality plants . It also eliminates the mess of individual pots making for an easy clean up .
This program is ideal for the landscaper who would appreciate the guarantee of large quantities of high quality plants during their busiest seasons . Make your install schedule with confidence , knowing your plants will be delivered and ready to plant on the week you requested .
We offer a complete line of annuals in the custom grow program , including Wave Petunias , Big Begonias , SunPatiens , Kong Coleus and bread-n-butter seed annuals . We also offer a wide range of pansies in the fall , including violas .
This program is offered on a pre-book basis only . The deadline to have your orders in for the following spring is the beginning of December , while the deadline for fall orders is mid-June . For the spring we have seven ready weeks to choose from , starting mid-April and running consecutive weeks through the end of May . In the fall , we offer four ready delivery weeks to choose from , starting late September and running consecutive weeks into October . We do require that varieties are ordered in 15 flat increments .
Many Landscapers are now requesting even larger plants for their installs . We do accept requests in this custom grow program for our # 4.5 , # 5.5 , # 6 pots , and # 8 TP if you are in need of these larger sizes for your plantings . The actual order forms for this program will include these additional sizes .
At times we do have some overage in the 1801 ’ s . If you are looking for a few trays or would like to just try them out , don ’ t hesitate to call or email to check availability .
