IL STATE RULE 260.95 Junior classes are open to boys and girls who are at least eight ( 8 ) years of age but not yet 21 years of age on or before September 1 of the year previous to the Fair . All animals shown in junior classes must be the property of the boys and girls showing them . If the same animals are shown in both the open classes and junior classes , they shall be shown under the same exhibitor ’ s name .

Bedding will be provided by the Fair Association .

Release time is Saturday , July 30 after 6:30 pm . NO EXCEPTIONS !

Entries close July 15 .

Please refer to Open Beef rules for additional rules on grooming , arrival times and general fair rules .

ALL PREVIOUSLY UNWEIGHED STEERS MUST BE WEIGHED ON Tuesday , 7 / 26 / 22 at 5 PM . NO EXCEPTIONS . Steers
must weigh 900 pounds and be dehorned . No over-aged steers . ( May not have permanent teeth )

Animals must be owned by the exhibitor for not less than 6 months .
7 .
Jr . Open Beef classes are open to any Jr . Beef exhibitor anywhere .
8 .
Exhibitors are limited to 2 premiums per class .
9 .
Heifers require registration papers within their respective breeds
10 . . Registration papers must be in the name of the junior exhibitor . Animals cannot be registered in farm name or with
another family member .
