Anxiety Accommodations : How to Support Anxious Children in Your Care Saturday , April 30 , 8:00-9:00 Research around child anxiety addresses the ways that accommodations meant to support anxious children perpetuate the problem . This session offers caregivers an understanding of what accommodations are , why they can be harmful , and what caregivers can do instead . It also provides a brief introduction to childhood anxiety and what it looks like , and appropriate treatments , including when to refer children to mental health providers .
