was nominated for its tireless efforts in in- structing over 1500 federal security prac- titioners in de- veloping and implementing effective riskbased mea- sures for pro- tecting over
350,000 federal facilities nation- wide and the millions of federal employees and visitors who work in and visit the facilities .
This year , in response to the attack on the U . S . Capitol , at the request of the U . S . Capitol Police , FRMPTP conducted several training ses- sions for security practitioners from the U . S . Capitol Police , Architect of the Capitol , and the Sergeant of Arms to both the U . S . Senate and U . S . House of Representatives on implementing a risk-based ana- lytical process for the protection of the U . S . Capitol complex .
Prior to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing , minimum physical security standards did not exist for nonmilitary federally owned or leased facilities .
