THE VAGINA WARRIOR PROGRAM continues to provide a vibrant and comprehensive set of opportunities for transformation and life skills development . From training in health and sexuality , rights awareness , judiciary and community activism to specialized individual and group counseling focused on the connections between women ’ s sexuality and mental health , women are given a foundation from which they can heal themselves . Massage , art , dance , physical education , literacy , nutrition , vocational ( sewing , soap making etc .) and computer training , and theater programming all serve to help women graduate with solid footing .

THE VILSCO FASHION AND PRODUCTION PROGRAM
– which will train up to 30 Congolese women from City of Joy on dozens of industrial textile machines - is still in development . In late 2019 Vilsco , a Dutch company , honored the “ World ’ s Strongest Women ” with the launch of a new collection of African fabrics that symbolizes survivor ’ s recovery from rape and trauma , and their journey from pain to power . The project was a collaboration between the fashion brand and women graduates of the City of Joy , with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the City of Joy . Through the program , students will also be coached by members of Vlisco ’ s network of creative talent and design experts from Africa and the rest of the world . Once established , the City of Joy will seek out commercial partnerships for the school .
