THE EXCEPTIONAL ATHLETE MATTERS

Since World T . E . A . M .‘ s first inclusive program in 1987 , our non-profit organization has used athletics to challenge adaptive men , women and children to accomplish goals they never thought possible .
We believe that “ The Exceptional Athlete Matters .”
World T . E . A . M . brings adaptive and able-bodied athletes together by empowering , enabling and engaging individuals through inclusive athletic programs .
For more than 30 years , our organization has used athletics to challenge and empower men , women and children with disabilities to accomplish goals they never thought possible . In all our programs , from mountain climbing to cycling , white water rafting , and many other sports , we include both adaptive and able-bodied participants .

2022 rounded out a full year of inclusive programs for World T . E . A . M . for the first time since 2019 . What seemed unlikely for such a long time , finally happened with the reinstallation of Face of America : Gettysburg in October 2021 .
The joy of reconnecting with friends and family after an extended period cannot be measured . The best part ? Having those same moments TWICE in 6 months , with Face of America : Gettysburg returning again in April 2022 .
In August , we hosted a new fundraising event for World T . E . A . M . featuring the David Foster & Friends Concert Under the Stars . Benefiting the organization with no costs , this concert starring David Foster and featuring Katherine McPhee , Pia Toscano , and Fernando Varela at Gozzer Ranch in Idaho raised over $ 50,000 to support our mission .
In September , the Adventure Team Challenge : New York returned at the Center for Discovery in Harris , New York for its 11th weekend . Athletes with developmental disabilities and significant medical frailties participated in multiple athletic activities with their coaches , including cycling , rowing , and a two-mile hike to the Red Hill Fire Tower in Claryville , NY .
Lastly , in October we brought back Face of America : Liberty , riding together to the Military Academy at West Point , NY . This unique one day cycling challenge was another reason to celebrate our mission with amazing athletes and volunteers .
This year , we also reintroduced our World T . E . A . M . Membership--an opportunity for members to connect to our growing community and receive exclusive gear and access to the lowest registration rates for our premier programs .
We could not have accomplished all of this without the unwavering support of our sponsors , donors , participants , board members , staff , and volunteers . 2023 holds a fresh slate of groundbreaking programs for our incredible athletes .
I am extremely grateful to be embarking on this journey with all of you toward new horizons !
