AN ACTIVE CLUB FOR OUR MOST DYNAMIC POPULATION
The benefits of the Sterling Silver Club are endless . Members of the 55-and-older club gain access to activities , connections , newsletters and more . The club offers , among other opportunities , weekly gentle chair yoga , virtual guided meditation alongside Renown staff , the opportunity to join a private Facebook group and meet new people ( one member once used it to find a tennis partner !), nature tours that navigate the natural beauty that is Reno / Tahoe and virtual cooking classes for all skill levels .
The club genuinely cares about its members . At the pandemic ’ s start , the Sterling Silver Club team called members to check-in , reaching out to the eldest first . They listened to their fears and concerns , provided them with resources to ensure they had what they needed and then followed up with those who needed a friendly voice on the other line .
The well-loved events and quarterly newsletter work as the perfect vehicle to introduce members to Renown leadership , care providers and schedulers . This face-to-face introduction makes our members feel more comfortable reaching out for care when the time comes .
One of the most memorable events from 2020 , right before the pandemic hit and the club took everything online , was the Sterling Silver Gala . The event followed a 1920s theme and encouraged attendees to dress the part . Club members dressed to perfection in flapper dresses , headpieces , fedoras , boas and more . Folks danced the night away to a live ‘ 20s band and enjoyed showing off their costumes in the photo booth .

Today , the Sterling Silver Club thrives by maintaining connections to its outstanding members while developing programs and partnerships . The Sterling Silver Club — which the members themselves named — has more than 22,000 participants .
