Mondo Corona arrived at Renown Regional Medical Center ’ s emergency department in late December 2018 with a painful earache and flu-like symptoms . A blood test showed that Mondo had high troponin levels . Troponin is a blood protein often released in large amounts when the heart muscle has damage , sometimes resulting from a heart attack .
