Renown Health and the University of Nevada , Reno School of Medicine ( UNR Med ) entered into a 50-year clinical affiliation agreement in May 2021 , giving Nevada the state ’ s first fully integrated health system . The historic partnership will create new and vital health services for our community , training programs for medical students and will increase patient access to life-saving clinical trials .
Over the last five decades , UNR Med has educated more than 3,900 physicians , with more than 30 % continuing to practice in Nevada , increasing access to care for Nevadans across the state .
This new level of integration allows us to drive innovation , research , medical education , grant funding for public health and clinical trials and to integrate our medical practices to improve access and affordability of care .
