SIENA HEIGHTS UNIVERSITY SAFETY AWARENESS HANDBOOK
UNIVERSITY SMOKING POLICY
PURPOSE : Siena Heights University recognizes the negative risks associated with the use of tobacco and other smoking related products and became a tobacco free campus July 1 , 2011 .
This policy only applies to buildings and grounds on the Adrian Campus of Siena Heights University .
POLICY : Usage of tobacco and other smoking related products shall be prohibited on University grounds and in University vehicles . Additionally , the advertisement of smoke related products shall be strictly prohibited .
Employees that are assigned to work at locations other than the University ’ s Adrian Campus must follow the rules and regulations of the host site .
Siena Heights University appreciates the cooperation of all smokers to abide by the University ’ s Smoking Policy . The Public Safety Department will enforce this policy and repeated violations can result in progressive disciplinary action . Cessation program information will be available through the University Health Center and the Human Resource Department .
