• Confidential Title IX Reporting : If reporting students wish that details of an incident be kept confidential , they should speak with campus mental health counselors and / or campus priest . Campus counselors are available to help on an emergency basis . Their service is free of charge . Local resources such as crisis centers are also confidential and have no duty to report to the University ( Siena ).
• Mandated Title IX Reporting : All University employees who are not designated above as confidential , are mandated reporters for all the details of which they are aware about an incident . They share this information with Title IX Coordinator . Giving a mandated reporter notice of an incident constitutes official notice to the institution . Incidents of sexual misconduct will be taken seriously when official notice is given to the institution . Such incidents of sexual misconduct will be investigated and resolved in a prompt and equitable manner under the University policies ( Siena ).
• Title IX Coordinator and Requests of Confidentiality : Community members who are reporting an incident of potential Title IX violations to the Title IX Coordinator may request confidentiality , thus confidentially could be supported under certain circumstances ( Siena ).
Weapons , carrying , possessing , etc .: The violation of laws or ordinances prohibiting the manufacture , sale , purchase , transportation , possession , concealment , or use of firearms , cutting instruments , explosives , incendiary devises or other deadly weapons . This classification encompasses weapons offenses that are regulatory in nature . Include in this classification : manufacture , sale or possession of deadly weapons ; carrying deadly weapons , concealed or openly ; using , manufacturing , etc ., of silencers ; furnishing deadly weapons to minors , aliens possessing deadly weapons ; and attempts to commit any of the above . On the Siena Heights University campus weapons includes possession and / or use of firearms , knives , over 3 inches , ammunition , fireworks , gasoline , and other combustible or explosive items ( including non-lethal projectile type weapons such as air soft , “ bb ”, paint ball etc .) or the brandishing of any objects in a threatening manner on University premises are not permitted ( Clery ).
Unfounded Crime : A reported crime that upon investigation by law enforcement authorities is found to be false or baseless . Only sworn or commissioned law enforcement personnel may unfound a crime . Crime reports can be property determined to be false only if the evidence from a complete and thorough investigation establishes that the crime reported was not , in fact , completed or attempted in any manner ( Clery ).
