Homeschool Admissions Process
All homeschooling parents seeking enrollment for their students ( Grades 1-12 ) at The Cornerstone Christian School must complete the application process . This process includes a written application and a family interview . Occasionally , it may be determined that a placement test is needed for enrollment in math courses . During this process , we will determine if the school is in a position to successfully partner with the applying family . Admissions for homeschool seats begins no earlier than August 1 . Since seats are only available when a desired class / course has the open space , occasional requests for admission may not be able to be finalized until after the second week of school , when full-time students ’ course assignments are finalized . Exact days and times of elementary courses are also subject to change through the first two weeks of school .
Necessary Records
During the application process , an unofficial copy of the student ’ s public or private school transcript , a copy of a homeschool transcript or the most recent homeschool report card is required . All immunizations must be up-to-date before a child may attend school . All incoming students must submit a Health Assessment Record , which must be completed by a licensed physician . Local doctors have this form , which is published by the State of Connecticut Department of Education . All new students are required to have had a recent physical within the time line established by state regulations and must provide the school with the form required by the state .
