With a winning time of 29.35 seconds from the 16-inch division , the 4-year-old female Border Collie and owner Jennifer Crank from Pickerington , Ohio , beat the top agility teams in an amazing run in front of a sold-out crowd at Pier 94 on Feb . 8 , 2020 .
Pink , officially known as Breezyblue ’ s Get This Party Started , became the Masters Agility Champion . The agility team ’ s spellbinding performance was shared with millions on the FOX broadcast network the next night on Feb . 9 , 2020 .
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR START IN THE SPORT ? My mom was teaching obedience classes at the local dog club when I was born . I grew up training dogs and we got into the sport when agility was introduced to the AKC . I immediately fell in love with the sport and dedicated all my spare time to training my dogs . Here I am today , still loving my dogs and the sport that brings us both joy .
WHAT WAS YOUR ROAD TO WESTMINSTER LIKE ? This was my 4th year attending Westminster agility and Pink ’ s 3rd year competing in the event . Our preparation for the event was no different than in past years : physical conditioning , agility training , and mental management . Pink won her division the past two years so there seemed to be more pressure this year as she had a title to defend . That meant more focus on my mental game leading up to the event . Luckily for me , Pink thrives on the energy she gets from the crowd and brought some of her very best runs to this year ’ s competition .
WHAT WAS WINNING LIKE ? I wasn ’ t sure any dog from the
David Helming , Steve Croxford , Perry DeWitt , Verb , Charlton Reynders and Christine 16-inch division Bishop could capture
