AGILITY TRIAL JUDGES
MRS . ABBIE A . HANSON of Estill , South Carolina grew up with Dachshunds , but it wasn ’ t until she bought her first Rottweiler , with her husband more than 35 years ago , that she became involved in AKC events . She began showing in Conformation , Obedience , and training her Rottweiler in Herding before Rottweilers were recognized to receive AKC Herding titles . Mrs . Hanson started in Agility with her Brittany , Rumor , after she finished her championship at an early age . She began judging Agility in 2012 , and has judged the Ibizan Hound , Pharaoh Hound , Miniature American Shepherd , Boxer , and Bearded Collie National Specialty Agility Trials . In 2018 , she judged the AKC Agility Invitational . This is her first Westminster judging assignment .
MR . DAVID NAUER of Colorado Springs , Colorado has competed in Agility for 25 years , and judged nationwide since 2005 . Along with his wife , Karen , he bred German Shorthaired Pointers for 40 years . His proudest accomplishment is when his German Shorthaired Pointer GCH CH MACH Voyager ’ s Catch the Wind RA JH MXS MJG MXP MJP5 MJPS XF T2B VCA earned her Agility MACH title and an Award of Merit at the national specialty in the same year . Mr . Nauer judged the AKC Agility Nationals twice and received the AKC Agility Achievement Award in 2018 . He was the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America ’ s “ Sportsman of the Year ” in 2016 . This is his first Westminster judging assignment .
